Controversy
n July 2007, the California Principal legal officer took steps to document suit against Corinthian Universities, corporate parent of National Institute of Technology, except if it settled claims that it has distorted its situation measurements; the school had been being scrutinized by the state principal legal officer's office for more than year and a half.
As per a case documented in Los Angeles Region Prevalent Court, Corinthian Universities "participated in a determined example of unlawful lead" by exaggerating the level of the people who got work from its courses, expanded data on beginning compensations and offered deceiving or bogus expressions about which programs it was approved to offer and which were endorsed by the California Division of Training.

" In late July, Corinthian Schools consented to pay $6.5 million to settle a claim charging that the chain participated in unlawful strategic policies by overstating its record of putting understudies in well-paying position; the sum remembered $5.8 million for compensation to understudies as well as $500,000 in common harms and $200,000 in court costs.
